Criteria
There should be a self test included to your award program, so that applicants can test their site against the criteria required. The website of the award master should always meet his own criteria

Design
Make sure that all scripts on your site work properly. You should show your own content and design- an evaluator should have not only good knowledge about all aspects of web design, he should also show that at his own website. If he does not show, his award program soon will become untrustworthy.

Application
It is enough to have an email application at your site, but it is more comfortable to have an application form. Applicants can send all information requested at once with this form mailer, this makes is easier for you to manage all information received.

Here an award master should state the purpose of his award program, he should describe the goal of his award program, and what makes your award program different to other programs.

Notification / Evaluation process
Here you should describe the process of an award application. You should state if you notify all applicants after having received their application, if you notify winners and also non winners. You should state also the time it takes you to evaluate an applicant’s site.

Status / Statistics
It is always a plus to provide a page where applicants can track the status of their application, and to show a statistic of your applicants and your winners. If your statistic shows only a small number of your applicants as winners of one of your awards, the visitors of your site can see that it is rather difficult to win your award. They probably will see that also at your winners’ sites, but at a statistic everybody also can count how many applications you have received during one year.

Award graphics
Here you should show samples of all your award graphics, including the format (*gif, *jpg) and the size (pixel and kilobytes).

Winner list
This is one of the most important pages of an award program. Here you present all your winners. An excellent winner presentation is highly recommended, including a screenshot, a short description and the laudation of the winners’ sites.

Indices
Here you should present the badges of those indices from where your award program has got a rating, and where it is listed.

Imprint
There are some countries, where it is necessary to have an imprint at your website. Here you can give information about the author of the website, a copyright statement and other information.
